Bader Idrees Captures His First ITF Juniors Title in Riyadh, Jannat Chiripal Wins Singles and Doubles

In the ITF Riyadh J30, held in Mahd Academy, between 23-28 October Bader Idrees (Saudi Arabia) won the boy’s singles title after beating the first week's finalist, Ilya Mosolkin (Russia), 6-2, 4-2 Ret.

The 17-year-old Idrees did not lose a single set in the whole tournament. In fact, the most games he dropped in a set were 4.

It was the first ITF Juniors title ever for Bader. With this trophy, he became the first Saudi boy’s singles winner since Saud Alhogbani and Faisal Alrebdi back in 2017. If we expand the search to both genders, it's the first Saudi singles' title since Yara Alhogbani won in Bahrain in 2022.

With this title, Bader Idrees will climb more than 700 spots in the ITF Juniors Ranking on Monday and he will be a Top 1200 player for the very first time.

In a match between first and second seed in girls singles draw, top seed Jannat Chiripal (India) won the ITF Riyadh J30 title after beating doubles partner, Leah Baroudi (Syria), by a 6-2 6-2 score.

The road to title for Jannat was not easy, after a marathon, 3.5-hour match in quarter final against the Spaniard Klara Andonegi-Sehnalova

The Indian-Syrian team also won the doubles title merely two hours only after their singles duel. They defeated the Saudi-Spanish squad Daniya Alzuhair and Klara Andonegi-Sehnalova 6-1 6-2.

After her win in both singles and doubles events, Chiripal will climb more than 200 spots on the ITF Juniors ranking. She came to Riyadh ranked 1031 and she will earn 36.25 ITF points will put her in the top 800 players in the world on Monday.
