The Saudi Games hosted tennis as one of 53 sports with over 6,000 athletes participating, making it the largest national sporting event held annually in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Tennis Federation organized the qualifying rounds for individuals and club players under the management of Ms. Faten Al-Mushaweh the delegated competition manager from the federation. The men's qualifying rounds were held at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Sports City in the Eastern Province for five days, from September 5th to 9th, 2023. The number of registered players was 132, an increase of 37% from the previous year.

The women's qualifiers were held in Riyadh at the Saudi Tennis Federation courts for three days, from September 7th to 9th, 2023. 59 players registered, representing an increase of over 180% compared to the participation in 2022.

10 male and 10 female players qualified for the finals of the Saudi Games. 4 players also qualified directly due to their high ranking among the registered players, and 4 wild cards were awarded to male and female players, bringing the total to 16 male and 16 female players qualified for the finals.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, December 9, 2023: The finals of the tennis competitions in the second edition of the Saudi Games began with the presence and honor of the CEO and Secretary General of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Mr. Abdulaziz Ba Ghisn, and the Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, Mr. Ser Miang, who crowned the tennis champions. The results were as follows:

Men's Singles:

1^st place: Ammar Al-Hogbani (Al-Ittihad)

2^nd place: Saud Al-Hogbani (Al-Ittihad)

3ed place: Abdulmajeed Bukhari (Al-Ahli)

Women's Singles:

1^st place: Nadia Al-Alami (Al-Nasr)

2^nd place: Maysan bin Hussein (Al-Salam)

3^ed place: Lara Bukhari (Al-Nasr)

After the success of the second edition of the Saudi Games 2023, the Director of the Saudi Games, His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, announced on behalf of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, the organization of the third edition of the Games in the next season of the Saudi Games in the last quarter of 2024. The announcement was made at the closing ceremony held on December 10th.

The second edition of the Games achieved remarkable success on all levels, in terms of organization, participation, and the technical level of the competitions. The organization of the third edition of the Games confirms the Kingdom's keenness to continue supporting sports and youth and to promote the culture of sports practice in society.
